Publication Day Is Here!
Well, this is exciting and terrifying in equal measure! H.I.V.E. has been part of my life for as long as my daughter (don’t tell her I mentioned her, I’ll get the teenage eyeroll!) and I’m not quite sure how I feel about the final instalment being out in the wider world.
You’ll all finally get to understand the journey Otto and his friends have been on throughout their time at H.I.V.E., as well as finding out some really interesting family history. I just hope I’ve done the story justice and that the fans who have kept me going over the years enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed writing it.
Oh, I know, it’s taken a long, long time to get to this stage, and at some points I’ve really wished I had never invented the characters as they just refused to do what I wanted them to. But it’s often better to let the characters speak for themselves, even in the middle of a volcano, and I hope that we’ve reached an acceptable compromise.
Anyway, enough from me! Bloodline is available – I hope you enjoy it! And only let me know if you do, okay?
What’s next? Oh, something very different! But suffice to say, it features a dog and a cat… and a robot!
Well, this is exciting!
Not only can I tell you that H.I.V.E. 9: Bloodline is finally being published on Thursday 6th May (UK release) – and so will be available to order from all good bookshops and e-tailers very very soon, but I can also reveal the fantastic cover created by awesome artist Jason Cook. Looks suitably exciting, doesn’t …
They said it would never happen.
They said there wasn’t a chance.
They were very almost right… Until with herculean effort, the final instalment of the HIVE series is finally nearing completion.
